Water quality at Indiana beaches is improving. The beaches exceeded E. coli bacteria levels less frequently in 2009 than in the previous three years, according to a report. That means beachgoers had a smaller chance of getting sick from swimming there. The downside is, the worst beaches aren't showing much improvement -- they are repeat offenders. Two thirds of the beaches that violated bacteria standards most often in 2009 were also among the most frequent offenders the two years prior.
